Students in Room 20 have been using different strategies on Reading and Writing in order to learn their lessons in a very meaningful and productive ways. This time they work in pairs or with buddies.
On Reading, they read stories that are assigned to them by turn. The buddy supports the classmate when he or she gets stuck reading some challenging words. They both discuss the highlights of the story, write the summary and describe its main character.
On Writing, students plan their work with their buddy. They both brainstorm or discuss the topic and what to write in their Introduction, Middle and Conclusion. It is wonderful to see them communicating and helping each other in order to come up with excellent work.
This strategy surely contributes to the development of good social relationship between and among students in class aside from successfully achieving their learning goals.
