Room 20 students believe in “to read is to explore the around us.” They naturally love reading poems and stories.
Reading time in this class is conducted interestingly. Shared reading is always followed by group guided reading. Each group is led by a leader.
Students make use of different strategies in order to understand what they are reading. To mention some … predicting, connecting, describing their favourite character, inferencing, memorising, answering of comprehension questions and writing a summary.
Students think learning to read with good understanding is a key to learning different academic areas.
