Room 20 students ‘traveled’ as far as America and Europe to study “Bridges.” They gathered and collated information on the World History of Bridges, the largest, oldest and busiest using Encyclopedia, library books and internet. They made researches and reports on the types of bridges, their characteristics and importance.

Highlights of the “Bridge lessons” were: a trip to Mangere Bridge, which allowed them to visually discover how this bridge was constructed and designing/ constructing group model bridges. To do a group project, students brainstormed their favourite bridges, materials and steps to be used to make their chosen bridge.

It’s very pleasing to see that everybody was physically and mentally involved in order to produce a ‘dream project.’ They believe that “Bridges are very significant to a country’s progress and development.”
