Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with our Tongan students, staff, parents and community with the impact of the volcanic eruption and the tsunami in Tonga. Support is needed by our sister schools in Tonga and the Board will make a firm decision on this support when it meets next week. I will keep you informed.

I hope you had great times with a’iga, whanau and loved ones over the holidays. Let us be grateful that we have been spared the heartaches many families and communities experienced over the Christmas break.

2022 School Year

School for students start next Wednesday 2 February. There will be a revised ‘whakatau’ for new students and parents at 9:30am. Only the Senior Management, seniors students and the Rumaki will be at the whakatau on behalf of the school.

Teachers will inform parents no later than Sunday 30 January of the class you child is in for this year. The students will go straight to their classes when they get to school.

All students have to be enrolled no later than Tuesday 1 February. The office will open from 9:00am until 3:00pm. There will be no enrolment on the first day of school.

Stationery lists are on our school website and parents are encouraged to purchase these before school starts. There are special discount prices and all stationery outlets.

Red Zone Guidelines: These are found on our school website and we are as well prepared as we can be to have our students back to school. Learning on school site is preferred and the school is safe for children to return to.

I encourage you to vaccinate your children as it is the best protection for your child that I can recommend. The Board of Trustees will make a decision on vaccination for children in the near future. I am pleased to inform you that all our staff are fully vaccinated. Look forward to having the children back to school next week.
