School Rules and Codes of Conduct

We agree:

  • The purpose of school is teaching and learning.        
  • School will be safe.
  • We care for and respect one another’s person, property and feelings.
  • We resolve our differences through talking, not fighting.
  • We are all responsible for preventing violent behaviour or bullying.

Therefore students will:

1.    attempt all work set, and ask if they do not understand

2.    follow directions, and do what the teacher asks

3.    stay in the classroom or teaching space

4.    keep hands, feet and objects to themselves      

5.    speak in a calm voice, and use positive words, comments and actions

6.    always allow the teacher to teach and other children to listen, work and learn

7.    be ready with all required stationery and equipment

          We do not accept fighting, play fighting, hitting, kicking or verbal putdowns

          We play safely in supervised areas (not behind buildings)

          We use all equipment safely and carefully.

          We do not take other people’s possessions without their permission.

 Students are expected to behave sensibly and safely at all times and to comply with all instructions, rules and codes of conduct so as to reflect credit on themselves, their families and their school. 

Staff, parents and all members of the school community should show similar respect to each other as that which is expected of students.
