What does the King Penguin look like?
It has yellow patches.
It is big.
It has black feet
It is 3 feet tall.
In 1994, the Kelly Tarlton King Penguins arrived on special charter
flights from the Sea World aquariums in San Diego and San Antonio, USA.
We have some real characters amongst the colony. One of our 'biggest'
personalities is 'Fat Boy', who has weighed in at a massive 22 kgs.
He’s the darling amongst staff, who have composed a special song
which they sing

Life cycle

The chicks start to grow their adult feathers.
It usually takes the chicks about 10 to 13 months.
