Description

What does the King Penguin look like?
It has yellow patches.
It is big.
It has black feet
It is 3 feet tall.
In 1994, the Kelly Tarlton King Penguins arrived on special charter flights from the Sea World aquariums in San Diego and San Antonio, USA. We have some real characters amongst the colony. One of our 'biggest' personalities is 'Fat Boy', who has weighed in at a massive 22 kgs. He’s the darling amongst staff, who have composed a special song which they sing

Habitat

Where does the king Penguin live?
They live in Antarctica.
They live in Prince Edwards near the cold ice.
They are even found in many subs near Antatica.

Life cycle

How does the king penguin develop?
The chicks start to grow their adult feathers.
It usually takes the chicks about 10 to 13 months.

 

Food

What does the King Penguin eat?
They eat different food to us.
They mainly eat fish.
They eat crabs too.
