The Fantastic Trip to the Underwater World of Kelly Tarltons On Friday the 9th of June 2006, Aorangi syndicate went to the underwater world of Kelly Tarltons to learn about penguins and some facts about them and how they survive. At first, Aorangi syndicate went inside the world of the penguins, Kelly Tarltons. We all saw a window and when we looked through it, you could see penguins caring their eggs and splashing in freezing, deep blue sea. Im guessing that it shows how they survive and how they care their eggs. Others were just interested in the penguins jumping into the sea water! Secondly, we were in Scotts hut. It was about how people who went to the icy world of Antartica. It showed how they lived while sailing to Antarctica. It showed how they survived like what they slept in, what they ate, what they used to keep warm and stuff like that. Classes were just focusing on the ghost playing piano playing by itself! I dont know what it means but they must of put it there just because it was quiet and no noise, not a single one. Next we saw a wide tank full of stingrays and fish. It was scary and some came across the glass! That was freaky. Another part was an aquarium full of sharks, fish, stingrays, starfish and even a eel! At first I was scared but then i got use to it . It was confusing that in the second part, there were vegetables like silver beet and broccoli. Then it was for the fish to eat. How silly! Next minute, we were late for something. We had to go to the classroom. It showed some people like Scott and his journey to Antarctica. It was in black and white. The bad thing was children wasnt focusing on the movie and the children were just playing around! Their very, very naughty. After that, we went to this thing called the snow cat ride. It showed King penguins and even their little king penguin chicks! They were cute just that they looked like Kiwis though. We also saw its predator, the seals. I didnt even know they were their predators. Then the ice was turning orange and a humungous whale came eating a seal. Hooray! Then it showed some flags like New Zealand, Australia, and England too. That was the end of the ride. Daizha Fidow Year 4 Room 19 |
