The school name,Sutton Park is namedafter a farm that was here a long,long time ago. The owner was Mr Sutton, but now its a school. Our Principal’s name is Mrs Pickens, she started working here about 15 years ago. She said it isn’t easy being a Principal and sometimes she gets papers she has to read from the MOE (Ministry Of Education) which has nothing to do with the things we are doing and that's one of the things she hates about her job. The things she likes about her job is when we get awards, certificates and when our school goes in the newspaper. She wanted to be a Principal because she thought she could do a very good job. If she wasn’t a Principal she said she would be a ballet dancer, a farmer or drive those big trucks. Mrs Pickens comes from England, most of her family is in England. She said its not that cold in New Zealand but in England it snows. She has alot of pets at home. We think Mrs Pickens is cool!! By Patricia Tava
